GALLERY TOURS AND GROUP ADMISSION
PUBLIC TOURS
Public tours are free for members or with Gallery admission. Pre-registration is no longer required. Visitors can join a tour anytime throughout the session with Gallery admission.
Guided tours are a great way to learn more about the cultural and social contexts of artworks on display. Led by a trained Art Educator, each tour is unique and reflects your guide’s passions and interests.
The Gallery offers guided tours of select exhibitions every Saturday and Sunday in English, Mandarin.
Each 30- to 45-minute tour meets in the Gallery’s 1st Floor Rotunda.
Please note that tour times are subject to change or cancellation.
VIRTUAL TOURS
The Gallery is pleased to offer interactive virtual group tours to enhance your next visit and help you enjoy the exhibitions from the comfort of your home. Each tour is led by one of our experienced Art Educators and is an opportunity for you to learn more about the cultural and social contexts of artworks on display and engage in lively discussions about art.
Presented on Zoom, virtual Gallery tours are offered for up to 30 guests per 60-minute tour. Tours are now being offered in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Punjabi.

Cost: $180 (plus tax) per group or $150 (plus tax) for Gallery Members*
*If your group exceeds 30 guests, we may be able to accommodate up to 20 additional attendees at $5 per person.

Please note that we require at least two weeks advance notice of your booking. Each tour is an online-only experience.
DESCRIBED TOURS
For select exhibitions, the Vancouver Art Gallery offers visual description to enhance your exhibition experience and to make the artworks on display more accessible.

Please note that we require at least 7 days advance notice for all group bookings. Bookings for 10 to 30 visitors can be made in advance online.
Venue Accessibility
The Vancouver Art Gallery is wheelchair accessible. Street-level access is available through the Hornby and Robson Street entrances. Wheelchairs are available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis, or can be reserved in advance by calling 604.662.4700. A Service Animal may accompany visitors to all public areas of the Gallery.
If you require additional assistance, please let a Security Guard or volunteer in the lobby know when you arrive, and we will arrange an escort through the Annex elevator. Questions? Please call 604.662.4700 or email customerservice@vanartgallery.bc.ca.
Lockers
The Gallery has installed self-serve storage lockers to replace our old Coat Check Desk. Lockers are free for Members and visitors with admission to store coats, backpacks and other large items that are not permitted inside the Gallery.
CART Services (Communication Access Realtime Translation) are available for the Vancouver Art Gallery’s Public Programs upon request.
Please provide seven business days of advance notice prior to an event. We will make every effort to meet requests made outside of this time frame.
