VIRTUAL GALLERY TOURS
The Vancouver Art Gallery is open, but all on-site public tours, programs and special events have been postponed until further notice, as guided by the Provincial Health Officer and the Government of British Columbia.
The Gallery is pleased to offer interactive virtual group tours to enhance your next visit and help you enjoy the exhibitions from the comfort of your home. Each tour is led by one of our experienced Art Educators and is an opportunity for you to learn more about the cultural and social contexts of artworks on display and engage in lively discussions about art.
Presented on Zoom, virtual Gallery tours are offered for up to 30 guests per 60-minute tour.
Please inquire about which exhibitions are currently being offered as virtual tours.
Cost: $180 (plus tax) per group or $150 (plus tax) for Gallery Members*
*If your group exceeds 30 guests, we may be able to accommodate up to 20 additional attendees at $5 per person.
To book a virtual Gallery tour and discuss the option that is best for your group, please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that we require at least two weeks advance notice of your booking. Each tour is an online-only experience.
CART Services (Communication Access Realtime Translation) are available for the Vancouver Art Gallery’s Public Programs upon request.
Please provide seven business days of advance notice prior to an event. We will make every effort to meet requests made outside of this time frame.
To place a request or to discuss accessibility needs further, please contact Public Programs Coordinator Stephanie Bokenfohr by email at email@example.com or by phone at (604) 662-4700.
For select exhibitions, the Vancouver Art Gallery offers visual description to enhance your exhibition experience and to make the artworks on display more accessible.
To book a virtual Described Tour, please contact Stephanie Bokenfohr, Adult Programs Coordinator, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (604) 662-4700.

The Vancouver Art Gallery is wheelchair accessible. Street-level access is available through the Robson Street entrances. The Hornby Street doors are currently closed due to city street construction. Wheelchairs are available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis, or can be reserved in advance by calling 604.662.4700. A Service Animal may accompany visitors to all public areas of the Gallery.
If you require additional assistance, please let a Security Guard or volunteer in the lobby know when you arrive, and we will arrange an escort through the Annex elevator. Questions? Please call 604.662.4700 or email email@example.com.
Effective July 13, 2021, the Gallery’s Hornby Street doors will be closed until December due to construction work by the City of Vancouver.
The pedestrian and bike lanes will be relocated onto the street, and vehicle traffic will be one lane Northbound only. There will be no pedestrian access into the Gallery via Hornby Street. Please use the Robson Street entrance only (located next to 1931 Gallery Bistro’s stairs).
Coat check service is available during Gallery Hours free of charge with an Admission ticket or for Gallery Members. Please note that backpacks, large bags, food, drinks, and umbrellas are not permitted in the exhibition spaces and must be checked.
