The Vancouver Art Gallery is proud to welcome people of all ages who are blind and partially sighted to join us for Described Tours. Led by specially trained Art Educators, these exhibition tours include visual description to make the art on display in the Gallery more accessible. Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour. Sighted visitors are welcome to attend.
The Gallery offers complimentary admission for one Sighted Guide or companion for each visitor with vision loss. Capacity for these special monthly tours is limited, therefore registration is required. To register please contact the Group Bookings Coordinator at 604.662.4717 or email groupbookings@vanartgallery.bc.ca.
Please note that the Gallery’s passenger elevator will be out of service for mandatory repairs from February 11 to mid-April, 2020. Upper exhibition floors are accessible by stairs and escalator. If you require additional assistance to access this exhibition, please let the Group Bookings Coordinator know when you register, and we will have a staff member escort you through the annex elevator.
