With health and safety in mind, we are delighted to partner with Heffel Fine Art Auction House to bring you our first ever online art auction from June 1 to 15, 2021. Bidding will open on June 1 at 1 PM PST and close on June 15 at 1 PM PST. Starting on May 28, you can also visit the Vancouver Art Gallery to preview the available works.

Located on the unceded territories of the xwməθkwəýəm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səĺilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, the Vancouver Art Gallery is one of Canada’s most important cultural institutions. Our mission is to create—through art—new paths to connect, inspire and empower growing audiences toward a broader understanding of the past, involvement in the present and shaping of the future. This mission is manifested through our exhibitions, educational programs, publications and the care of our permanent collection.

We strongly believe that, through art, we create paths to share perspectives, build and engage communities and shape our collective future. This mission is the underlying force guiding all our activities, from the development of exhibition, digital, public and educational programs to the acquisition of artworks and the conservation of our collection.

Artists, private collectors and commercial galleries across the world have generously donated thirty-two outstanding artworks to our 2021 Art Auction Spring Forward. Featuring a range of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculptures and mixed-media works, this event will provide an opportunity to not only support the Gallery’s mission but also to add a stunning piece of art to your personal collection.
