Art Agents + The Making Place
Every Sunday, the Gallery offers unique activities geared toward 5- to 12-year-old visitors and their families. Throughout the month of November, we will continue to investigate the exhibitions Vikky Alexander: Extreme Beauty and Robert Rauschenberg 1965-1980, as well as Transits and Returns.
All activities are free for children aged 12 and under, when accompanied by an adult. Adult participation is free for members or with Gallery admission.
Join our team of curious, funny and informed Art Agents as they bring the Gallery’s exhibitions to life! Engage with the exhibitions through in-gallery activities, ask questions and start conversations about what your family notices in the artworks on display.
Then, move to The Making Place, where you’ll make your own artworks inspired by the materials and processes that you see in the exhibitions. Drop in any time between 12 and 4 PM to take part.
The Making Place Activity
NOV 3: Printmaking
Vikky Alexander and Robert Rauschenberg both examine the everyday in different ways in their art-making practices. In The Making Place, families are invited to experiment with the different shapes and textures of everyday materials and practice the art of printmaking by creating their our own stories through layering art prints.
