SUSPENDED

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Gallery has suspended all hands-on educational activities such as Weekly Family Programs, Spring Break programs and Described Tours until March 30.

At this time, the Gallery remains open during our regular business hours. We continue to closely monitor the evolving situation. For the latest updates, please check the Visit page here »

Drop in on Sundays to get creative as a family!

Every Sunday from 12 to 4 PM, the Gallery offers interactive activities designed for the whole family. Explore, chat and play in the exhibition spaces with our team of Art Agents. Then experiment with the materials, processes and ideas that you see in the artworks on display in The Making Place. Sundays are a great day to introduce your kids to art at the Gallery and continue to inspire their creativity.

FREE for children 12 and under, when accompanied by an adult.

Activities are designed for visitors aged 5- to 12-years-old, but all ages and abilities are welcome to participate.

March 15: Experimenting with Ink Painting

呂壽琨 (Lui Shou Kwan) studied classical Chinese ink painting and created landscapes inspired by the scenery of Hong Kong and its surrounding islands. He later began to experiment with brushstrokes and ink washes to create landscapes that were less realistic and more abstract by using his imagination to transform what he saw in real life.

ACTIVITY: What type of lines and marks express your ideas and emotions? Experiment with brushstrokes, ink and water to create your own abstract landscape
