Drop in on Sundays to get creative as a family!
Every Sunday from 12 to 4 PM, the Gallery offers interactive activities designed for the whole family.
Explore, chat and play in the exhibition spaces with our team of Art Agents. Then experiment with the materials, processes and ideas that you see in the artworks on display in The Making Place.
Sundays are a great day to introduce your kids to art at the Gallery and continue to inspire their creativity.
FREE for children 12 and under, when accompanied by an adult.
Activities are designed for visitors aged 5- to 12-years-old, but all ages and abilities are welcome to participate.

February 16: Using Pastels To Create Your Colour Palette
Compare and contrast paintings by Emily Carr and her friend, Statira Frame, on view in Rapture, Rhythm and the Tree of Life: Emily Carr and Her Female Contemporaries. How do colour choices affect the story a painting tells?
ACTIVITY: Draw a forest scene in pencil, then create a colour palette with your choice of pastels. Pick colours that express your mood or how you feel when you are in the forest.
