Join the Vancouver Art Gallery and Samsara Cycle for a morning of cycling that will culminate in an exploration of Emily Carr’s enduring connection to the landscapes of British Columbia.
This community no-drop group ride from the Vancouver Art Gallery to Stanley Park and back marks the opening weekend of The Bike Valet at the Gallery. Available throughout the summer from July 25 to September 25, The Bike Valet supports the Gallery’s ongoing commitment to sustainability while providing visitors with a convenient and secure way to arrive by bike.
Designed for riders of varying experience levels, this guided ride offers an opportunity to explore Vancouver by bike, connect with fellow cyclists and experience the city’s landscapes from a new perspective.
Upon arrival at the Gallery, participants will enjoy complimentary secure bike parking and a guided tour of That Green Ideal: Emily Carr and the Idea of Nature, drawing connections between the natural environments encountered along the route and the works on view in the exhibition.
This is a no-drop ride, meaning no one is left behind. Samsara Ride Leaders will guide the group at a comfortable pace, creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.
Prior cycling experience is necessary. However, this ride is meant to help ease riders into becoming more comfortable with group rides.
Please bring your own bike. Clipless pedals are not required. Samsara Ride Leaders are there to help guide those without as much experience.
All participants are asked to read and sign this waiver before the ride.
