The COVID-19 pandemic has created an unparalleled situation affecting us all. Although the Vancouver Art Gallery’s doors have been closed since March 16, we continue to find new ways to bring people together through art with the launch of online initiatives, such as Art Connects and Art At Home, and the adaptation of our School and Youth Programs.
Thank you for your support and encouragement. We know you believe in the power of art to provide respite, especially in troubled times.
The current crisis is having a profound impact on all of us. Since closing the Gallery doors, we have been faced with serious challenges and lost revenues from admissions, store sales, facility rentals and fundraising events.
As we work towards re-opening the doors to your Gallery, we invite you to make a special gift at this critical time, if you are able. Initiated in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19, #GivingTuesdayNow is a new international day of giving and unity taking place on May 5, 2020.
In recognition of the challenges ahead, the Gallery’s Board of Trustees has generously committed to match all donations up to $250,000, if made by May 5.
