What do professional sports and contemporary art have to say to each other?

Join art historian Dr. Adrienne Fast for a humorous and thought-provoking exploration of the unexpected connections between the two, from spectacle and celebrity to identity, competition and culture.

Because this program will take place on Free First Friday. Night Presented by BMO, Gallery admission is free, but a ticket is required to attend this event. Capacity is limited.

Free for Circles of Giving and Experiences Members, $5 for Ideas Members and $10 for Access Pass Holders and the general public.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. Adrienne Fast is an art historian and arts professional with more than 20 years of experience working in galleries, museums and classrooms in both Canada and the United States. She earned her PhD in Art History at the University of British Columbia and has held curatorial positions at the Vancouver Art Gallery, Kamloops Art Gallery, Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam, and The Reach Gallery Museum in Abbotsford. She hosts a popular public talk series called Art History Happy Hour, which blends fun and illuminating journeys through global art history with lots of laughs and adult beverages.
