Guided tours offer a deeper understanding of the cultural, historical and social contexts behind the artworks on view. Led by a trained Art Educator, each tour is unique and shaped by the guide’s insights, passions and perspectives.

Enemy Alien is the first major solo exhibition and retrospective of documentary photographer Tamio Wakayama, whose career spanned more than fifty years. Beginning with his photographs of the Civil Rights Movement in the southern United States, Wakayama documented social justice movements and countercultures of the 1960s and 70s. His work tells powerful stories of community, joy and resistance in the face of injustice.

This Japanese-language tour offers an intimate and culturally resonant exploration of Wakayama’s life, work and legacy.

「敵性外国人」は、ドキュメンタリー写真家である若山多美男の初となる大規模な個展ならびに回顧展です。彼のキャリアは50年以上に及んでいます。

若山はアメリカ南部、公民権運動の写真に始まり、60年代・70年代の社会運動、カウンターカルチャーを写真に収めてきました。彼の作品には、不正義に対してコミュニティが発揮する力強さ、喜び、そして困難を生き抜く力が描かれています。
