Celebrate Family Day at the Gallery!

Learn, Dream, Connect, Explore!

 

This Family Day, take inspiration from the exhibitions Jin-me Yoon: About Time, Marie Khouri – I Love and Guud san glans Robert Davidson: A Line That Bends But Does Not Break and discover ways to learn, dream and connect through art. Join us for a series of activities that encourage children and their families to explore how creativity can create the change we want to see in the world.

FREE for children 18 and under and Members, or with admission.

*Please note that the Conservation Lab visit and guided family tours require Pre-registration on the day of your visit at the Family Day Information Desk.

Family Day Activities:

 

Basement:

  • Join Conservator Tara Fraser for a sneak peek into the Gallery’s Conservation Lab in a hands-on workshop for kids ages 7 and up. Participants will discover how Conservation staff care for, store and prepare artworks for exhibition. Pre-registration is required at the Family Day Information Desk.

1st Floor:

  • Get creative in a self-guided watercolour painting session in the Annex Workshop.
  • Transform the Rotunda through an interactive response to Marie Khouri – I Love.
  • Honour Black history and envision Black futures with I Dream Library in the Rotunda. Explore books and resources related to the themes of love and activism, and listen to a reading at 1 PM.

3rd Floor:

  • Spend time as a family delving deeper into our exhibitions through a guided exhibition tour of Jin-me Yoon: About Time at 11 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, 2 PM and 3 PM. Pre-registration required at the Admissions Desk.

4th Floor

FREE for children 18 and under and Members, or with admission.
