Book Launch: The Place of Objects

Join us for a special panel conversation celebrating the launch of The Place of Objects: The John David Lawrence Collection, the newly published book that accompanies the exhibition Written in Clay: From the John David Lawrence Collection.
This panel brings together contributors to the publication for a candid discussion about their own constellations of collections, friendships and histories.
Moderated by Stephanie Rebick, Interim Director of Exhibitions and Publishing at the Vancouver Art Gallery, the conversation will explore how books—like objects—serve as portals to culture, sustain creative communities and endure over time. Panelists will include curator and writer Glenn Alteen and collector John David Lawrence.
Free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served.
