Let’s make Art At Home!
Have you ever stopped to observe ripples, movements and reflections on water’s surface? Join Vancouver- and Seoul-based artist Hyung-Min Yoon to experiment with water and artmaking!
Hyung-Min will tell us how she created her work The Doors 門 (2016), now on view in the exhibition Where Do We Go From Here?. Then, together, we will learn how to use materials from home to create our own portable sculptures that are brought to life using water’s reflection.
This event will be streamed live on the Gallery’s Facebook account and on Zoom. No registration is required to watch on Facebook.
Materials You Will Need:
- A black or dark coloured tray, or a tray can be lined with black plastic such as a garbage bag
- White pipe cleaners
- Scissors
- Paper
- A pencil
- A flashlight
- Water (enough to make a shallow pool in the tray)
- A dropper and/or water spray bottle (optional)
