Art Rental & Sales, operated by the Vancouver Art Gallery, is pleased to present an artist talk with Featured Artist Simone Ximeng Guo on Thursday, January 25 from 6 to 8 PM in the AR&S Showroom.
In her new body of work, titled The Lost Lagoon, Guo studies the unbounded possibilities of approaching a single theme: the ever-changing dynamics of this mysterious body of water—the lost lagoon—and its surrounding nature formations. In between abstraction and pictorial landscape, Guo blends a stylized abstract language with a renewed interest in the aesthetics of Chinese landscape tradition.
