Curator’s Council

Installation view of Teresita Fernández's work Island Universe 2, made entirely of charcoal. The installation looks like a distorted map of the world, spread across one white wall. A blurred person walks in front.

Led by Eva Respini, the Gallery’s dynamic new Co-Interim CEO and Curator at Large, and chaired by Board Trustee Tara Poseley, this initiative brings together women who are passionate about art and committed to supporting gender diversity in the arts.

The Curator’s Council plays a vital role in ensuring the Gallery’s collection reflects a diverse and inclusive range of artistic voices. Each donor contributes $20,000 annually to a dedicated fund that supports the acquisition of significant works by emerging and established women artists—works that will be preserved and celebrated for generations to come.

The Council gathers several times a year in Vancouver and in other cities across North America. Through exclusive access to galleries, artist studios, private collections and curator-led tours, donors have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of contemporary art and build lasting relationships with artists, collectors and curators.
