This fall, the Vancouver Art Gallery is excited to bring back our popular program for seniors, formerly known as Art At Any Age, first launched in 2024. Art of Wellbeing for Seniors is a unique program that combines Gallery Tours with interactive, arts-based workshops designed to spark creativity, reflection and connection.
Each session begins with a guided tour of a current exhibition, followed by a dynamic workshop where participants explore their responses through movement, mark making, creative writing and theatre. Sessions conclude with light refreshments in a beautiful private space within the Gallery, offering a chance to socialize and reflect.
The 2025/26 program series will delve deeper into the exhibitions Otani Workshop: Monsters in My Head, We who have known tides: Indigenous Art from the Collection and That Green Ideal: Emily Carr and the Idea of Nature.
Each exhibition will be explored in depth with a cohort of 25 participants aged 55+. One session will include three unique workshops, allowing for meaningful engagement, discussion and understanding of the work of a particular artist or of the Gallery’s collection.
Spaces are limited. The registration fee includes access to three workshops in one session.
Reserve your spot today, and join us for an engaging season of art, creativity and community!
