School Groups and Public Tours: Group rates apply to 10 people or more. Groups must book at least one week in advance to qualify for group rates. Private Guided Exhibition Tours

Visitors can enjoy the exclusive and intimate experience of a private guided tour for the current exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Led by experienced art professionals and educators, the tours provide an excellent introduction for the first-time visitors as well as food for thought for returning visitors. Our educators sketch an overview of the exhibition, outline historical contexts, as well as highlight specific works for a closer look.

~ An artful afternoon steeped in tradition ~

The Vancouver Art Gallery and The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver invite you to experience an afternoon of intrigue and tradition. Skip the line and step into the world of our unconscious with express- entry admission for the Gallery’s featured exhibition. Afterwards, take part in Traditional Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, located across the street from the Gallery in the hotel’s 900 West Lounge. Sip on exclusively blended Fairmont teas, and sample the petite sandwiches, sweet pastries, and house-baked scones with fresh strawberries and Devonshire cream, all while reflecting on your artful experience.

Itinerary:
The Gallery is open daily from 10am – 5pm and Tuesday until 9pm, please allow 1-2 hours for your Gallery visit.
Afternoon tea is served:
Mon - Fri 2pm - 4:30pm
Sat – Sun 12pm - 4:30pm


How to Book:
Reservations for afternoon tea are recommended to be booked a minimum of 3 days in advance and can be made by calling the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s 900 West Lounge at 604.662.1900. Tickets may be purchased either by visiting 900 West Lounge in the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, or the Vancouver Art Gallery’s admissions desk.

Adult: $50 / Child $30 (tax and gratuity included).



Breakfast with the Masters

Start your group’s day with a private breakfast buffet in the Vancouver Art Gallery’s award-winning Gallery Café, followed by an exclusive before-hours tour of one of the Gallery’s featured exhibitions. Dine indoors amid breathtaking floral arrangements to the sounds of classical music, or enjoy an alfresco meal on one of the best outdoor patios in the city.


Breakfast: 8 – 9am; Tour: 9 – 10am. Minimum 20 / Maximum 65 guests, please. Reservations required one week in advance. Two menus to choose from, either hot or cold breakfast buffets.
