Collaboration continues to be a cornerstone of this event, and this year the Gallery worked

with a diverse range of artists and organizations, including the dance and theatre groups Mascall
Dance, battery opera, Noam Gagnon and Vision Selective, MACHiNENOiSY, Justine Chambers,
Light Box and Theatre Replacement; interdisciplinary artists Lief Hall, Blim and Mere Phantoms;

musicians Veda Hille, Kris Elgstrand, In Medias Res and Von Bingen; and many more.
In honour of Art Spiegelman’s CO-MIX: A Retrospective of Comics, Graphics and Scraps,

the Gallery collaborated with the Vancouver-based, artist-run shop Lucky’s Comics to pro-
duce a limited-edition trading card set for our February FUSE event. The Gallery also worked
closely with the Arrival Agency — the creative team behind the now-defunct Waldorf Hotel —

and the City of Vancouver’s VIVA Vancouver program to execute the incredibly successful
summer FUSE.
